Position Title: Senior Traffic Engineer / Division Leader

About Us:

Our established mid-size engineering firm in Albuquerque is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Traffic Engineer. This leadership role is critical for the expansion and growth of our traffic engineering division, especially in facilitating the transition of our current senior engineer towards retirement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete and submit Traffic Impact Studies and related transportation studies.
  • Review and approve studies conducted by other engineers.
  • Train and develop junior traffic engineers to achieve professional competency.
  • Expand the department's capabilities and revenue through new projects, services, and RFPs.
  • Scale the department to meet growing demands, overseeing 2-3 full-time traffic engineers with potential for further expansion.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in traffic engineering with a proven leadership background.
  • Proficiency in traffic engineering software and tools.
  • Strong strategic planning and business development skills.
  • Excellent mentoring and team management abilities.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of New Mexico.

Professional Civil Engineer

Position Title: Civil Engineer

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site investigations and feasibility analyses.
  • Develop site master plans aligned with project goals.
  • Navigate entitlement processes.
  • Perform onsite and offsite drainage analysis and design.
  • Oversee site utility design for functionality and efficiency.
  • Coordinate dry utility arrangements.
  • Lead drainage master planning.
  • Manage coordination with sub-consultants (geotechnical, surveying).
  • Oversee construction contract management.
  • Conduct construction inspections.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer license in New Mexico.
  • 3-5 years of design and construction experience in land development.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and design tools.

CAD Designer

Position Title: CAD Designer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of construction documents for land development projects.
  • In-depth involvement in site planning, grading design, earthwork calculations, and water, sewer, and storm drainage design.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D for commercial and/or residential site and infrastructure design.
  • Bonus points for experience with Autodesk Vehicle Tracking, AutoTURN, and SketchUP.

Construction Inspector

Position Title: Construction Inspector

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Description:

Tierra West LLC seeks a dynamic individual to join our team as a Construction Inspector. Our projects include infrastructure development for subdivision lots, commercial build-to-suits, and redevelopment. The ideal candidate will be familiar with land development infrastructure construction, possess expertise in design and construction feasibility, and demonstrate proficiency in planning, coordinating, and implementing construction projects. Responsibilities include monitoring projects, documenting contractor activities, verifying billable work, and providing project updates to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review construction plans and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate construction activities with government entities for permits.
  • Conduct regular field meetings to ensure schedule adherence.
  • Provide daily field observation reports for ongoing projects.
  • Coordinate submittals and requests for information.
  • Coordinate SWPPP activities for compliance with permits.
  • Prepare closeout packages in compliance with local requirements.
  • Review and certify monthly subcontractor invoices.
  • Coordinate with utility companies for closeout packages and services.
  • Utilize scientific, engineering, and mathematical theories to address problems.

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of infrastructure design and experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in construction-related activities.
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products.
  • Salary: Dependent on Experience
