My History

After a six-year career in the US Air Force, Jon began his career with Tierra West in October 1995 as an AutoCAD Technician. He was responsible for drafting site layouts, grading and drainage plans, and plan and profile sheets. As he gained experience Jon decided to pursue his engineering at the University of New Mexico while continuing to work at Tierra West. After graduating in 2004 Jon was responsible for grading and drainage analysis, master plan layouts, and traffic signal design. In 2006 he earned his Professional Engineer License in New Mexico and in 2009 was licensed in Texas.

During his time at Tierra West Jon has worked on New Urbanist type developments, completed numerous Letters of Map Revision (LOMR), and worked on several projects where design of off-site improvements within TXDOT or NMDOT right-of-way was required. As a Project Manager, he has presented information about projects in front of numerous Development Review Boards, Environmental Planning Commissions and other jurisdictional bodies as needed to obtain project approvals.
